Customer Review: Fantastic space-saving design (5- stars)

Even though each of these tiers isn't all that big (16" x 10" is on the small side), I use this set all the time during the holidays when I just don't have the counter space to accommodate large batches of cookies, cake layers, and other baked goods on my large stainless steel cooling racks. They stack easily, with no wasted space, and have never toppled. The non-stick surface is not really necessary since I don't find that items stick to my stainless ones, but clean-up is easy, both by hand and by dishwasher. They fit easily in my dishwasher, although the folded legs make them a little more unwieldy/thick than other types.
The legs do make these tiers more difficult to store than traditional racks, mostly because they increase the thickness of each and can get caught on other items when pulling them out of a tight space. For this reason, I used to keep them stored in the original box, to keep them better contained, but then I found that I wasn't using them as much. Now I just deal with their catching on my other racks when I pull them out. Still, even my flat racks have little feet that catch as I pull them out.
These racks are ideal for people with limited counter space. They accommodate one normal batch of cookies, so if you're doing a lot of baking, you'll probably want to purchase two sets, or use these, as I do, as a supplement to traditional flat racks.
