Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Wilton 2105-5038 Giant Cupcake Pan

Customer Review: Love this cake!
Summary: 4 Stars

I love this idea for a giant cupcake! I have used it once for my husband's birthday and it turned out great. I was glad I read reviews first, because I learned that one side cooks faster than the other (it's deeper/thicker). So I just baked the bottom part first (left the other side empty). I let it cool & decorated it while I then baked the top half. That worked fine & I had no problem getting the cakes out in one piece.

Customer Review: A neat pan to have!
Summary: 4 Stars

It's a neat pan to use for the "gimicky" cupcake to take for parties or dinners. Others like the idea and ask how I made it. I'm still learning the technique on baking with it. It takes some trial and error to get it without over baking. Maybe Wilton could attach better instructions with it. I had to look it up on the internet to learn the best way to bake, such as, length of time and temps. But, I definitely like it.

Customer Review: large Cupcake Pan
Summary: 4 Stars

I love this pan . The only thing it didnt come with instructions
on how to fill each side,or if you were going to use a box cake how long to keep it in.I tried with a box cake & I filled the side thats the top to the first ring & the rest for the bottom. It takes approximently 45 to 50 min.I make these cakes for each of my Grandchildren's Birthday they get
to pick the flavor of the cake & frosting. They love it.

Customer Review: Very Cute Cake!!
Summary: 4 Stars

I made this cake for my 2 year old's birthday. It was really cute and everyone loved it. Plenty of cake to go around because I made cupcakes too! Only problem was getting it out of the pan. Not easy to put a knife in around the edges because they are not straight, so when it came out, it wasn't perfect. However...still very cute and I will use it again and again!

Customer Review: Takes Practice
Summary: 4 Stars

This cake takes some practice - especially with the decorating. The top piece bakes much more quickly than the bottom half so place the top part toward the front of the oven. 48 to 50 minutes with a box cake works fine. Decorate the bottom before placing the top piece on - this will make it much easier. The quality of the pan is excellent and it release well.
