this cake pan was so easy to use i was hesitant about it because when i make a regular cake it always seems to stick in the middle. I was afraid that would happen with the wall-e pan but to my surprise it didn't the cake came out so nice, until my daughter stuck her fingers in it on the car ride to her party.
the only issue i had was the directions were so small i had to make a larger copy of them but other than that, buying the cake pan and food coloring was a great investment for my 2 year old party
All the kids and adults love it.

Ordered this for my Son's 4th birthday (oct 7). Wanted to make sure I got it and could do it before the party so ordered it super early!! haha. VERY HAPPY with the pan! Cake came out really nice. I used a baking spray with flour in it just to be sure it didnt stick! .. I also order the colors that go with this, came out so wonderful!. he loved it. Cant wait to do it again at his party and see all the kids reactions!!!!

I highly recommend this pan. I bought it for my daughter, who was turning 24, as a surprise. She loves Wall-E and this just hit the spot with her. It was the first time I had decorated a cake like this - but the directions were clear and it turned out pretty good. I did as one of the other reviewers mentioned and enlarged the directions so they were a bit easier to read.Customer Review: Easy Directions

The trick is to make sure that the pan is well greased and that the cake is completly cooled before removing the cake from the pan. It was very fun seeing my boys reaction to the Wall-E cake that Mom had made.Customer Review: A true labor of love

It took be five hours just to decorate the cake but it is well worth seeing the smile on my son's face! My finished product turned out great although I did not stick to the instructions. I found them to be more confusing than just figuring it out on my own and I did not always agree with which tip to use in certain places. My cake did not stick to the pan which I greased three times and dusted with flour. There is a lot of small detail to decorate so be patient and ready for a long night when decorating. I'd suggest doing it the night before.
I used the recipe on the instructions for the frosting which was great, however, the recipe is for 3 cups but instructions say that you'll need 5 cups. I made two batches and had way too much frosting but better safe than sorry!
I highly recommend using couplers with your pastry bags so you can change tips. You'll need 6 bags and 6 couplers.
The instructions say to smooth out areas with your finger dipped in cornstarch. I tried this and although it worked, it left white cornstarch on my black frosting. I ended up using light corn syrup on my finger.
I gave this pan 4 stars instead of 5 because I think that the instructions were a little off. I would make this cake again if my son wanted Wall-e to come to his next birthday party but I would only recommend it to a friend who has the patients to decorate it.
