I bought this pan to make a birthday cake for a friends daughter. The pan was great quality and the cake came out nicely. I love wilton pans and will buy more in the future.

Customer Review: Worked well - better washing instructions would be helpful Summary: 4 Stars
The Elmo Face cake pan worked really well. I wasn't at all sure how well the cake itself would turn out of the greased/floured pan, but the Wilton instructions worked very well. And the instructions on how to frost/decorate were also good.
The only problem I have with the pan - and Wilton - is that Wilton should make it clear that it's wise to keep it out of the dishwasher (it's stated on the instructions that hand washing is recommended, but doesn't say *not* put it in the dishwasher), since a single run through turned the metal all white and left this weird film that I cannot wash away. It's probably fine, but it looks really unsightly and I'm hesitant to reuse it...if I ever will. Some research points to a problem with lemon or possibly lime in the dishwashing detergent, but I pretty sure mine did not have either, so I'm not sure what happened.
Customer Review: Gotta love Elmo Summary: 4 Stars
I made a smoosh cake for my daughter out of this cake pan. It was my first time so I made a practice cake. If you haven't made a cake before then I would definitley practice. Line the pan with flour and shortening. Don't be shy with this either. I only eneded up frosting instead of the stars since that would have taken hours. It still looked great.
